The Venture Scout Section is well known for its adventurous programme. They are commonly called Adventure Scouts by mistake. The Unit normally makes it own program based up on the training guidelines set up by the Scout Association

The Unit's programme is shown on their calendar. Weekly meeting activities are not always shown here and details of these can be obtained from the Unit Leader. Unlike other sections the Unit meets out of School term time to allow College Members to attend during their vacations. The Unit boasts that it meets 51 weeks of the year, and attend a party on the 52nd to celebrate the years achievements.

Due to external pressure combined with the small size of the Unit awards are few and far between.
