This is my portfolio of web sites. All these sites have been designed and coded solely by myself. Each site tackles a different subject and uses a style suited to that subject.

TNT Web Design

Click to view this web site This web site is the front to my presence on the world wide web. It was designed to advertise my web design service and to provide a portfolio of web sites. A subset of this portfolio is shown on this page. The site is designed to be simple to navigate and use a fixed window size.
This site uses mainly standard HTML and CSS2 and features browser scripting to produce simple image swapping on mouse over events.

Wellington Scout Web

Click to view this web site This web site was designed and produced for 1st Wellington Scout Group. The site features a choice between a transparent multi-framed interface or a non framed interface. The site is easy to navigate with a top menu bar covering the main sections of the site and a side menu bar per section covering sub sections. Individual sub sections can be further broken down using a tabbed page approach. This type of navigation allows a lot of content to be accessable and is similar to the menu bar and pull down menu approach used on traditional windows applications.
This site uses mainly standard HTML and features browser scripting to produce simple image swapping on mouse over events. The site is built dynamically and Apache SSI is used extensively to provide the same content on both the frames and non frames interfaces.
This was the first web site created by myself and still one of the best for layout and navigation.

The Black Hole Project

Click to view this web site This web site was designed and produced to experiment with Dynamic HTML. The site is broken up into three main themes each testing a different aspect of DHTML. Unfortunately due to problems with the Netscape Document Object Model (DOM) the site will only work on Internet Explorer 4 and above.
The three main areas of the site are the main page featuring layer scrolling and transitions, the ezone page demonstrating IE lighting cones and scroll bar emulation and finally the library pages showing how multiple frames and DHTML can be used to produce and effective and ergonomically attractive user interface. This final theme is used in the library area of this site.

The Entertainment Zone

Click to view this web site This web site was designed and produced to display music reviews created by the TNT Disco DJ's. At present it use Dynamic HTML to create an entertainment portal. Unfortunately due to problems with the Netscape Document Object Model (DOM) the site will only work on Internet Explorer 4 and above.

The Lunar Loony

Click to view this web site This web site was designed and produced with entertainment in mind. It is easy to navigate with most sections being directly accessable from the main menu. It also demonstrated the use of Server Side Includes (SSI) to reproduce the common menu and footer on each page. This site is well worth a look - even if only for the subject mater.

TNT Disco

Click to view this web site This web site was designed to promote my personal mobile disco. It experiments in multi- media content with embeded Window Media Player (WMP) objects and streaming media. The WMP reads scripts created in XML to tell them how to show a particular multi-media clip. The WMP can be controlled from the browsers scripting language and can even have triggers embeded in the media stream to call back to the scripting language when reached.

The Ginger Nation

Click to view this web site This web site was designed and produced for a client who wanted to create a Ginger Person's appreciation society. The site features a private members section, communities, chat and its own email (name@citizens.gingernation.com). Just the job for all Ginger people !
