Who am I ?

My name is Nick Turner and I live in a small town called Wellington in the county of Somerset in the south west of England. I have lived there for the last 10 years but originate from Ossett, West Yorkshire, England.

Where do I work ?

I am a Senior Software Engineer for PassGo Technologies Inc. a company based locally. I specialise in the synchonisation of security aspects of Unix operating systems. I have worked for this company since 1996, previous to this I worked in the Network Management industry for Cray Communications (now known as Anite Systems). During my time with PassGo Technologies Ltd. the company was aquired by the Symantec Corporation and I spent some time working on their Norton line of products. What is my education ?

I undertook my secondary school education at Ossett Comprehensive School, and then proceeded to higher education at Newcastle Polytechnic. I completed my education (if one can ever complete their education) by taking a HND in Computing at Trent Polytechnic.

What are my interests ?

My three main interests in life are programming, music and Scouting.

Programming

This is a bonus considering my job, I have been interested in computer programming ever since I got my first Sinclair Spectrum at the age of fifteen.

Music

Music has been an interest of mine for equally as long. I own my own mobile disco and regularly do discos for the local community.

Scouting

Thirdly, I am an active member of the Scout Association and currently hold a Venture Scout Leaders warrant with Warlocks Venture Scout Unit. I enjoy (??) the leadership challenge that this incurs. I am a keen walker and have done many long distance walks in England and Wales, although not as many in recent years have I would like to have done.
